One-handed catches for an interception are rarer yet. Shoestring catches are fairly rare in the NFL. Polamalu shed six tacklers on the way, the last of whom was Palmer, his former USC teammate and roommate. A week later, he did one better, returning a Carson Palmer pass 26 yards for a touchdown. In Week 3 he recorded his first career interception. Polamalu, a first-round pick in 2003, announced his presence with authority in 2004. With Ben Roethlisberger serving a four-game suspension, the Steelers held on late against the Titans after Polamalu jumped over the offensive line and dumped Titans QB Kerry Collins for a sack. He did it a handful of times in his career, most notably in Week 2 in 2010. No discussion of Polamalu is complete without his signature leap over the line of scrimmage. Two plays later, the Steelers were in the end zone and en route to the AFC North title and third Super Bowl appearance in six years. LB Lamarr Woodley recovered and returned it to the Baltimore 9. In Week 13 of 2010 and the Steelers trailing 10-6 with 3:22 to go, Polamalu, unblocked, came in off the left edge and tomahawk chopped the ball loose from Ravens QB Joe Flacco's grip. Steelers-Ravens might be the best rivalry in the NFL and Polamalu has certainly played his part over the last decade-plus. The Steelers safety usually let his play on the field do his talking.īelow, in reverse order, are Times Steelers Writer Chris Bradford's five best Troy Polamalu moments: Vikings- drafted a great offensive lineman, but not much elseĥ.Perhaps no player in NFL history embodied the "talk softly and carry a big stick" philosophy more than Troy Polamalu. Jaguars- I don't like the Justin Blackmon pick, I believe Floyd will be the better of the twoĤ. Seahawks- drafted a linebacker way to high upģ. 49ers- didn't do much for me in the draftĢ. Bills- good upgrades along the offensive lineīroncos- got a young QB who develop behind Peyton Manningġ. Buccaneers- great safety and running back pickħ. Cowboys- great trade up to snag Morris ClaiborneĦ. Cardinals- great compliment to Larry Fitzgerald, drafting Michael Floydĥ. Steelers-great upgrades along the offensive and defensive linesĤ. I'd like to analyze the draft and give my opinion as to who had the best drafts as well as the worst.ģ. The were so many trades in the first and second round, and I believe there was a record set for the amount of trades. So the NFL Draft is over, and it was an interesting draft to say the least. I could have put 100 songs on this setlist, but again, that would never happen. Subdivisions (my favorite song, so we'll start with this). So as hard as this is for me to pick out a certain few, I will see if i can actually make a "dream setlist." The last two shows I saw they played about 25 songs, in two sets and an encore consisting of two songs, so I will try to mimic that.ġ. ![]() Now, as much as I'd like to see them play EVERY song from EVERY album they ever did, that will not happen. Since the setlist is not yet released for this upcoming tour, I'd like to make my own "dream setlist" of the songs I wish they'd play at this concert. They put on such a great show and have a collection of great music. I have already seen them twice, once at SPAC in Saratoga, and once at MSG in New York City. I am going to see them live in concert on October 20th at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Looks to be a great NFL season, and I cannot wait.Īs some of my followers know, I am a HUGE Rush fan. Both have great defenses, as well as their QB's both are now in their prime. I'm predicting a Steelers 49ers Super Bowl. I wanted to pick who I think will win each division with their record, and who will advance to the AFC/NFC Championships, and The Super Bowl.
